World Championships 1998
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Sensei Ian followed Tricia to Rio for the World Karate Championships. She took silver in the ladies team event, but due to injury was not 100% for the individual event.
National Junior Championships
- Crystal Palace - The SHIKON SQUAD topped the medals table (as they did in the senior event earlier last year) with 15 medals. Well done to all the UKA students who took part, especially the following people who took medals:
Gold - Nicholas Karanicholas; Ami Carrington SmithBronze - Kris Grint; Philip Patrick; Sean MacNamara
Hornchurch 11 gold, 11 silver, 9 bronze - Nice One!
Epping Junior League Special -
10 Jan - Team Taurus came second to Sensei Ian's A-Team. Well done to Jonus Lodge, Jamie Raffell, Ruth Weaver, Natalie Moss, Aaron Strong, Daniel Waite, Daniel Brown, Michael Waddle, Bernice Henwood, Laetitia Akkouche, Hannah Cox, and Raphael Akkouche.
