Karate (7 Years to Adult)

We teach 'Wado-Ryu' Karate; a mainstream Karate style which is practiced worldwide. Wado-Ryu emphasises speed, evasion and explosive counter-attacks and is therefore particularly suitable for competition.

In the last three years alone, our Association has seen Black Belts win:

  • 2 World Individual Gold Medals
  • World Team Gold Medals
  • European Individual Bronze Medal
  • European Team Silver Medals
  • 9 National Gold and 20 National Silver and Bronze Medals

We are also proud to boast the 1996/1997 World Karate Champion - Patrica Duggin.

Karate is an excellent way to get fit (no prior fitness training or special kit is needed to begin with), and training will undoubtedly enhance your co-ordination and confidence. We have also had many reports from parents who claim their children have more discipline and concentration at school since commencing training.

Our Association is a member of Shikon: founder member of the English Karate Governing Body (EKGB) with over 10,000 members nationally. Our Instructors are fully qualified and our classes are registered with the Sports Council through the EKGB.
